Space Ship 02 by TheUncannyKen Space Ship 02 by TheUncannyKen
hi,
Now this isn't supposed to be something military, although in the end it does look armored and weapony..
Actually I designed this as a "helper" for much bigger, less manoeuvrable cruisers to dock.

So basically it's just a big flying thruster.

Maya 3D basemesh, photoshop paintover

bye bye

this is a tug, not the crap you see in star wars or star trek, this, looks like a tug should, has an industrial look to it, its symmtrical, it looks like it could be real

Hello, I'd just like to ask how you did the lineart for the cockpit interior. I've been searching forever but can't see how to do this other than doing it in sketchup. Did you do that in sketchup?

hi,
No actually, I used Maya. My model was very, very rough-lowpoly, I did all the linework with the ps brush/line tools.
I sometimes use the contour rendering as a base, but its not that easy to handle... So I'm better off hand drawing the whole thing.
Thanks for showing interest in my work, your gallery is fantastic.
